What Colour are your Wellies
On Tuesday 17th March we had a visit from the local author Zoe Stevenson, and she was lovely and very friendly. She wrote “What Colour are Your Wellies.” She told us a little bit about herself and why she liked writing. She then read her book. The book was about a girl who visited the island and wanted to see what colour wellies birds wore. We learned a lot about local birds on our island. Usma, the girl in the story, liked her own blue wellies best. We asked Zoe lots of questions and she was very good at answering them.
We all wore our own wellies and Zoe liked our wellies. Some of us bought books from Zoe. She signed them and she wrote us our own special message. We loved meeting Zoe and we want her to come back and read her next book. We can’t wait. We have made Zoe some lovely cards to say, “Thank you!”
