RSPB Big Schools Bird Watch
On the 31st January we took part in the “Big Schools Bird Watch.” We counted the birds that we spotted at our school in one hour.
We recorded the maximum number of each type of bird that landed at our school at any one time and sent them to the RSPB who will use the information to analyse the population and welfare of birds across the UK.
We had fun doing our Big Schools’ Birdwatch! We saw 13 different variety of birds. The birds we saw most of were sparrows, yellow hammers and goldfinches.
“Every time I looked out of the window I saw different birds and I enjoyed learning about the.” Amelia P1
“I would like to know if the birds are okay.” Grace P2
“I liked seeing lots of different birds.” Harrison P2
“The birds are grateful that we feed them and we are grateful for the birds.” Katie P1
