Today we have been learning about Remembrance Day and how it links to our rights. It links to Article 38, Protection from War. We thought about why it is important to remember and commemorate those who have fought in wars. Here were some of our ideas:

We then made poppies with 4 materials – red paper, black buttons, lollipop sticks and glue. We made them to remember the poppies growing in the battlefields after the war had finished.

As a whole school, we took the opportunity to remember those who serve and are affected by wars by taking part in a 2 minute silence at 11am.
