Report by P4-7

On the 30th April P4-7 went to Ardura Forest to do some nature related activities and to see the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The first activity that we did was ‘Meet a Tree’, your partner would take you to a tree blindfolded and had to try and find the same tree afterwards without your blindfold.

Next we rubbed a crayon on piece of paper on an area of bark. After, we made some art out of things around us.

After a while the prince and princess came and I showed them my little stick/leaf hut and talked.

The Royals arrived and came over and asked what we were learning. After we told them what we were learning, I shook hands with them. I really enjoyed seeing them, they were polite and kind.

When the Prince and Princess of Wales arrived, they actually said Happy Birthday to me and shook my hand!

We met Prince William and Kate, we made symmetrical art patterns using nature and we talked to Prince William and Kate about our art.

I enjoyed talking to the Prince and the Princess because it made me feel superb, it was a privilege to meet them. (Jayden)

I enjoyed talking to the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay because they were very friendly, I felt elated to have met them. (Hannah)

I felt special that we got the chance to meet the Prince and Princess because not everybody got to meet them. (Lucille)

I felt happy when I shook the Princess’ hand because it was a very special time because not everybody has the chance to meet them. (Isla)

I really liked the Prince and Princess because I felt really royal when I shook both of their hands. (Tyler)
