Seaweed Safari
In the P1/2 class Lochdonhead we are going on a seaweed safari and inviting people along to join us on our adventures through our blog. We are learning that seaweed is fascinating, often beautiful, and plays a crucial role in marine ecosystems, supporting wildlife and biodiversity.
We are immersing ourselves in hands-on STEM activities like seaweed art, craft, cooking, numeracy, problem solving, scientific discovery, enquiry and literacy through our interdisciplinary project. It meets the challenge of attaining Global Goals and Children’s rights and introduces the children to a variety of skills for lifelong learning. The pupils thought about engaging activities that they would like to do and the parents shared ideas for our path of our discoveries. We will find activities that we can share for others to learn.
